Layers + mixing prints

I feel like this bipolar weather has left me with little to no choices in my wardrobe. I thought some light layers might be the best way to go considering one minute it’s snowing and the next minute the sun is shinning.

This look is super casual and easy to put together. I love stripes. In fact, sometimes I even consider them to be a neutral. With that being said, my opinion may be a little biased but, I feel like stripes are the easiest print to mix with other prints.

Over my cotton tee I threw on a lightweight flannel that coordinates with the navy and white stripes on my shirt. Just these two shirts together alone look super cute but, as you can see form the snow on the ground, it was a little chilly out so I added another layer. This lightweight jacket is a must for the changing season! I think everyone should invest in one preferably in army green. This color looks great with navy, black, brown and even white. I’ve had this since last season and I have gotten so much wear out of it. Since it’s from last season I couldn’t find the link for it. However, I did link a similar jacket that has the same look and price as the one I am wearing.

I can not say enough good things about the jeans I am wearing. They are from J.Crew and are hands down the most comfortable jeans I have ever worn. They are especially good for petite girls, like myself, because the regular length are relatively short and don’t require excessive cuffing. Plus the regular length is available both in the store and online! On top of all that these jeans are currently on sale plus the store is offering an extra 30% off when you use the code SHOPNOW! Absolutely worth it especially with the 30% off!!

The booties I am wearing are the same ones I talked about on my thanksgiving look post! I love them they are a great neutral color and not to high, so they are easy to wear all day!

There you have it your daily dose of fashion vitamins. Thanks for reading!

P.S  If you like my hair call Pancache hair salon and book with Kara! Use the code Samantha10 to get 10% off!

  1. Sam,I absolutely use your advice on everything and pass it on. Kenzie also loves that you share the fashion advice, I usually pass it to her and Makenzie first. For myself I have found the cotton tee’s and an accessory or two. All on sale ! Keep it coming, and thanks so much!
